images > Wendover Cupcakes

This piece was completed during a month-long residency at the Center for Land Use Interpretation (CLUI) in Wendover, Utah. While on hikes I began to notice things - trash, really - on the ground, and it was everywhere. Broken glass, shotgun shells, beer caps, and so on. After I had amassed quite a collection, I decided to use each piece as a decoration for a concrete cupcake. I used concrete filler pressed through a traditional cake decorating tip for the frosting.
